Sunday Masses are celebrated at 5:30 pm on Saturday evening and 10.30am on a Sunday. Weekday Masses are celebrated on Tuesday and Thursday at 9.15am. Services of the Word and Holy Communion are held on Monday at 6:30 pm and Wednesday at 9:15 am

Parish life
A Fund Raising Group meets about once a month. The Piety Shop is open before and after Mass on Saturday evening and Sunday mornings. The Sacred Heart Guild, known as the ‘Ladies Guild’, has existed for many decades. The Senior Citizens Group meets monthly in the Parochial Centre for bingo and afternoon tea, with an annual Christmas party. The church stands on Lourdes Avenue, and its tower is visible from the approach roads to Lostock Hall.
Sacraments and pastoral care
The parish asks to be informed of a death before contacting a funeral director so the priest can pray and offer guidance. Family members may give words of remembrance at the vigil, beginning or end of the Requiem Mass, or at the graveside, subject to the priest's approval.
Confirmation and First Holy Communion are prepared for within the parish's Sacramental Programme. The parish requires six months' notice for a wedding and a preliminary meeting with the priest before a date can be confirmed. For a child's baptism, the principal carer must be a Catholic and the candidate normally resident in the parish. The Sacramental Programme is organised by catechists within the parish, with sessions held in the evenings.
