Abbot Stanilas (Austin) Taylor served the parish from 1929 until his death at Mumbles in January 1934.

Father Laurence Devine served as parish priest from 1977 until his sudden death on January 15th 1985. The parish was handed over to the Archdiocese of Cardiff on St David's Day 1985, ending Douai Abbey's association. Children from Year 2 (age 6-7) and above are eligible to receive preparation for the Sacraments of Holy Communion and Reconciliation.
