About Saint Andrew

Saint Andrew is a Roman Catholic church in Braemar, Aberdeenshire. It is part of the Diocese of Aberdeen.

Parish life

Saint Andrew's Braemar is one of four churches forming two sister parishes, Saint Columba's and Upper Deeside, served by a priest based in Banchory. The parishes' logo depicts the unity of four churches dedicated to Saint Columba, Saint Margaret, Saint Nathalan, and Saint Andrew as a single cross inspired by Celtic knots. For sick parishioners from Upper Deeside Parish, visits can be arranged on request, normally on Wednesdays after morning Mass.

Sacraments and pastoral care

Arrangements for a child's baptism must be made in person, with at least one month's notice. The Sacrament of Confession is available on weekdays, 30 minutes before Mass. It is always possible to arrange a confession at a convenient time by contacting the Parish Office. In an emergency, arrangements for the Sacrament of the Sick can be made immediately.
