SS Mary & John, Newton-le-Willows is a Roman Catholic church in Newton-le-Willows, Merseyside. It is part of the Archdiocese of Liverpool.
Introduction
The Catholic church was built in 1864, with the spire added in 1880, designed by G. Blount.
Architecture and furnishings
The church is built of rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings and a slate roof, featuring a nave with aisles under lean-to roofs, a north west steeple, and a chancel with flanking gabled chapels. The interior features arches between chapels and chancel and aisles, on corbels in the form of busts including S.S. Mary and John and contemporary bishop and pope. Reredoses to the chapels remain, but that to the chancel has been removed.
