About St. Anne's Church, Crumpsall

St. Anne's Church, Crumpsall is a Roman Catholic church in Crumpsall, Greater Manchester. It is part of the Diocese of Salford.

Parish life

Year 3 produces a service of Stations of the Cross in Church during Lent. The Ladies of Charity and Saint Anne's Visitors regularly visit the sick, housebound, and those who live alone.

The whole school regularly attends Mass in Church, and confessions are heard class by class throughout the year. The children perform various Christmas concerts and Nativity plays both in Church and in school to which they invite the Parish.

The parish grounds are cared for by a small number of people. The parish engages in fundraising and social activities.

Sacraments and pastoral care

The first step in arranging a Baptism is to speak with the parish priest to arrange an appointment to discuss responsibilities. For any baptism, there is a time of discovery, instruction and discernment before the sacraments are administered. Couples must give at least six months' notice when booking a wedding.

Marriage preparation is undertaken on a deanery basis. A team of Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, coordinated by two parishioners, visits the housebound and care homes.
