About St. Augustine's Church, Datchet
St. Augustine's Church, Datchet is a Roman Catholic church in Datchet, Berkshire. It is part of the Diocese of Northampton.
Sacraments and pastoral care
Families who are members of the parish may have infants and young children baptised only after the parents attend a preparation session, which must happen before the celebration is scheduled. Adult baptisms are arranged through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Children who already attend religious education classes often make their First Holy Communion at 7 or 8 once a sacramental preparation programme is finished. Young people often celebrate Confirmation from Years 7 (ages 11–12) or above after completing a sacramental preparation programme. The Rosary is prayed ahead of each Holy Mass.
