St Dominic's Church, Harold Hill

Introduction

St Dominic's Church in Harold Hill, within the Diocese of Brentwood, was built in 1956, and the estate was divided into two parishes. St Dominic's is served from Most Holy Redeemer.

Parish life

An active group meets regularly throughout the year, helps families in need, and visits the sick and housebound. A quiz night raised £265 towards the Christmas Market.

The parish produces a weekly newsletter. The church has access for physically disabled people.

Sacraments and pastoral care

Baptism is arranged by appointment with the Parish Clergy. Baptism is conducted on Saturdays or Sundays at pre-arranged dates during or after Mass. Parish clergy discuss the sacrament and answer questions prior to all baptisms.

Marriage preparation is available for those thinking of getting married. Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion take Communion to the sick and housebound.
