St. Mary on the Quay, Bristol is a Roman Catholic church in Bristol, Bristol. It is part of the Diocese of Clifton.
History
The church was completed in 1840, with architect Richard Shackleton Pope as its designer. The church was built by the Irvingites, and Franciscan Father Patrick O'Farrell later bought it for £5000. Bishop Baines dedicated the church in 1843. The Society of Jesus formally acquired St Mary-on-the-Quay in 1871. In 1893, the river Frome in front of the church was covered over.
