About St. Patrick
St. Patrick is a Roman Catholic church in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. It is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
Introduction
St Patrick's Church stands at Mellor Street, Packmoor, Stoke-on-Trent, ST7 4SN. A fourth church in the area, St John's Kidsgrove, is no longer used as a Catholic Church and is a Coptic Orthodox Church.
Parish life
St Patrick's is one of three churches in the Our Lady of Grace Parish, which also includes English Martyrs' in Biddulph and St Joseph's in Goldenhill.
Sacraments and pastoral care
Baptism is normally for children resident within the parish boundaries, or for those who regularly attend one of the churches. Couples must give at least 3 months' notice to the priests of both parishes and the church where they wish to marry. Couples under 18 must give 6 months' notice for marriage.
Preparation for First Communion is shared by the parish, the school and the family. The parish advises contacting the hospital chaplaincy directly for a priest in hospital.
