About Church of St Michael
Church of St Michael is a Roman Catholic church in Ashford, Surrey. It is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster.
Introduction
Sir Giles Gilbert Scott’s drawings for the new St Michael’s church in Ashford were exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1927, and the incomplete building opened for worship in July 1928. The nave was extended in 1938, and the church’s completion was marked by a High Mass in 1960. The church, boundary wall and entrance screen were listed at Grade II in March 2016.
