Mother of God & St. James, Salford

Parish life

The parish has a community worship choir. The parish celebrates Divine Mercy Sunday.

The parish welcomes those interested in becoming Catholic and offers to discuss this with a priest after Sunday Mass. A Parish Council, chosen by the Parish Priest, provides guidance and advice.

Regular events

The Life in the Spirit course runs on all five Wednesdays in May at the church hall. The previous healing service featured international best-selling ex-gangster John Pridmore.

Sacraments and pastoral care

A supportive parish team guides people through the baptism process. Periodic sacramental classes prepare intending communicants at the parish and its schools. Confessions are heard on Saturday mornings.

Visiting

Visitors to the church are provided with face masks and hand gels at the entrance. The parish offers a livestream of Mass online for remote participation.
