About Saint Bernadette

Saint Bernadette is a Roman Catholic church in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire. It is part of the Diocese of Dunkeld.

Introduction

A bishop blessed and opened the church and house on the 26th June, 1963. Sunday Mass took place in the old Tullibody Institute Hall, while daily Mass was offered in the upstairs room of the priest's house at 9 Baingle Brae, up the hill from Saint Bernadette's. A shortage of priests brought Saint Bernadette's into a cluster with Saint Mungo's, Alloa, with a parish priest and a priest-in-charge.

Parish life

The Lourdes Group provides funding for young people to care for the sick at Lourdes or to take a mission experience in a third-world country. The parish Saint Vincent de Paul group is a charity that gives practical assistance to people in need in the local community in order to tackle poverty.

The parish has a close relationship with its primary school, which has moved to Tullibody South Campus. The primary school takes part in the parish liturgies.
