St Bride, Pontarddulais

Parish life

All weekday masses from Blessed Sacrament Church are livestreamed, accessible via the parish website. The parish conducts a census to help identify how parishioners can get involved or receive ministry. The parish offers separate catechetical programmes for Gorseinon and Pontarddulais.

Sacraments and pastoral care

Unbaptised adults and children over seven are directed to RCIA sessions for instruction before baptism. Couples wishing to marry must meet with the Parish Priest several times and complete 'Marriage Care' instructional sessions.

Reconciliation is offered at advertised times and by private arrangement with the Parish Priest. At funerals, family and friends may proclaim the Scripture readings, Psalm and Prayers of Intercession where pastorally appropriate. The parish runs Sycamore, an informal course about the Catholic faith with short films and discussion.
