About St. Cuthbert
St. Cuthbert is a Roman Catholic church in Bradford, West Yorkshire. It is part of the Diocese of Leeds.
Parish life
At the April 2008 meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council it was decided to apply for Fairtrade Parish status with CAFOD. The parish includes the local primary school St Cuthbert and the First Martyrs' and the merged secondary schools St Bede's Grammar and St Joseph's College, forming St Bede's & St Joseph's Catholic College. The parish is a Fair Trade parish and a member of the West Yorkshire Ecumenical Council and the Girlington, Heaton, Manningham Council of Churches, supporting the Ark Charity Shop. Confirmation is arranged in conjunction with the Deanery and the availability of the Bishop.
Visiting
Visitors to both churches can use car parking, wheelchair access, clear audio from the altar, toilets, service information and newsletters, children's worksheets and floral displays. The parish calendar includes Tea & cake after Sunday morning mass, Fairtrade stalls, Ceilidhs, quizzes, raffles, pilgrimages, and choir performances. A group of about 30 rehearses and performs two shows each year in Saint Cuthbert's Unity Centre, Wilmer Road, Heaton.
