About St. Mary - Congleton
St. Mary - Congleton is a Roman Catholic church in Congleton, Cheshire. It is part of the Diocese of Shrewsbury.
The building
St Mary's was built in 1826 to a design by Dr Hall, a priest. The church is built of red brick with a stone plinth and has a 2-storeyed facade to the road. A stone-coped pediment above the central doorway contains an arched niche with a statue of the Virgin.
