Saint Mary of the Angels in Childer Thornton, within the Diocese of Shrewsbury, is a Roman Catholic church built in 1879 by E J Tarver.
Architecture and furnishings
The church features a rose west window of four trefoils, nave windows with plate tracery, lancets to the chancel, and a west window in the north chapel forming a spherical triangle over three lancets, with glass by Mayer of Munich. The church is constructed from red sandstone. The church comprises a nave, an apsed chancel, a round apsed north chapel, a vestry/sacristy, a small open belfry on the ridge, and a narthex beneath a portico roof with five carved panels bearing the symbols of the evangelists.
