History
In 2018, the Catholic parishes of St William in Ince, St Patrick, Hardybutts, and St John, Standishgate were amalgamated as one parish. In July 2024, the church of St Mary on Standishgate was also amalgamated into the parish of St William. Fr Hugh McCormick served as the second Parish Priest of St Patrick from 1849 to 1875.
