About St Peter
St Peter is a Roman Catholic church in Bude, Cornwall. It is part of the Diocese of Plymouth.
Sacraments and pastoral care
Parents wishing to have their baby baptised contact the parish office to arrange a meeting, and baptisms are normally celebrated on Sundays. Children receive their first Reconciliation as part of the First Communion Programme. Reconciliation is usually available after a Saturday morning mass, and can be requested at almost any time. Confirmation is hoped to be celebrated in the parish this coming year, and if no new bishop is appointed, Parish Priests are delegated to celebrate Confirmation. Preparation for marriage can take up to six months and all seeking to marry in the church are required to take part in a programme of marriage preparation.
Visiting
The parish welcomes adults interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the faith to contact the parish office. The church is usually open during the day, and groups of pilgrims should book ahead.
