About The Church of the Transfiguration, Kenal Rise

The Church of the Transfiguration, Kenal Rise is a Roman Catholic church in London, Greater London. It is part of the Archdiocese of Westminster.

Parish life

Hymn selections aim to align with the Sunday readings whenever possible. The Justice and Peace Group meets monthly to discuss news relating to justice and peace and to pray for their resolution.

The Legion of Mary has been in existence in the Church of the Transfiguration without interruption since 1976 and has held nearly two thousand weekly meetings. The parish celebrated the 40th anniversary of the move from SS Simon & Jude to its present location with a summer party on 2nd July 2017.

Sacraments and pastoral care

The parish advises that anyone seriously ill or infirm, including those entering hospital for an operation, should contact the Parish Priest to arrange the Sacrament of the Sick. For marriage, no dates are confirmed until both parties meet with the Parish Priest, and enquiries should normally begin at least six months before the proposed wedding date.
