About Holy Family
Holy Family is a Roman Catholic church in Brantham, Suffolk. It is part of the Diocese of East Anglia.
Regular events
The parish runs a Sycamore course on Saturday mornings at St Mark's Church Hall. The parish offers baptism preparation sessions on Saturday mornings throughout the year, lasting approximately 90 minutes. The parish holds a monthly 'Kids Church' session for primary school children after Sunday Mass.
Sacraments and pastoral care
Confirmation candidates attend the Ignite Festival, a diocesan youth retreat usually held on the first May Bank Holiday. First Holy Communion preparation uses a 'readiness approach' where the child and parents decide when they are ready, rather than a fixed course with a set date. The child's readiness for First Holy Communion is assessed by the catechetical team, and when agreed the child is invited to make their First Holy Communion at any regular Sunday Mass throughout the year.
