About Our Lady Immaculate & St Philip Neri
Our Lady Immaculate & St Philip Neri is a Roman Catholic church in Uckfield, East Sussex. It is part of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton.
Introduction
Our Lady Immaculate & St Philip Neri in Uckfield is one of three churches in the Crowborough cluster of the Lewes Parish.
Parish life
At Christmas, children take part in short Nativity celebrations before the Christmas mass, and there is an annual children's Christmas party. The Children's Liturgy is not religious instruction or childminding; children do what the rest of the community is doing at that point in the Mass, in a way more suited to them.
Sacraments and pastoral care
A Remembrance book in the church allows names of the deceased to be added at any time. The parish is looking to have a senior or adult team of altar servers who would come together occasionally to support the Parish and help lead the younger members.
