About Our Lady of Lourdes
Our Lady of Lourdes is a Roman Catholic church in Cardiff, South Glamorgan. It is part of the Archdiocese of Cardiff-Menevia.
Introduction
In the 1950s, part of Saint Teilo's parish became the new Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes in Gabalfa.
Parish life
A canon enhanced the Liturgy and introduced a Children's Liturgy. The parish supports the work of the SVP, providing practical help such as washing machines and weekly shops to those in need.
The parish has prayer groups that support parish activities. The parish offers activities to engage children. The parish newsletter is available online or in print at the back of the church. Photos of recent events at St Teilo's are available to view.
Sacraments and pastoral care
The parish's chaplain to the Cardiff branch of the Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Trust leads a pilgrimage to Lourdes. Social groups keep parishioners engaged with social activities.
