About Our Lady of Sorrows, Bamford

Our Lady of Sorrows, Bamford is a Roman Catholic church in Bamford, Derbyshire. It is part of the Diocese of Hallam.

Architecture and furnishings

The church is built of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and stone slate roofs with coped gables. A single-storey chapel on the south side has chamfered mullioned and transomed windows and a bellcote with a conical cap on the south gable. The church has an east porch and a tall polygonal chimney stack to its right. The church was built in 1882 and paid for by the Duke of Norfolk.
