Sacred Heart

Introduction

Holy Trinity and Sacred Heart are part of one parish family. Sacred Heart Church in Four Oaks provides Sunday Mass and other liturgies during the week.

Parish life

The St Vincent de Paul Society group in the parishes of Sacred Heart and Holy Trinity provides person-to-person support to those experiencing poverty, isolation, or hardship. SVP members visit people alone at home or in hospital, assist with attending church or appointments or shopping, and collect and distribute clothing and household goods. Rooms are available for hire at both parish locations for meetings, community activities, and special events.

Sacraments and pastoral care

Parents are asked to attend a short baptism preparation class before the baptism. Couples must contact the parish at least one year and no later than six months before the proposed wedding day. The parishes organise a marriage preparation day, usually on a Saturday, with informal meetings with married couples, including lunch and social time.

The parish has a ministry of visiting the sick and housebound. The parish has a bereavement group.
