About Saint Bernadette
Saint Bernadette is a Roman Catholic church in Tilgate, West Sussex. It is part of the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton.
Music and liturgy
The parish runs the RCIA programme, also known as the Journey In Faith, for adults seeking initiation into the Catholic Church. Young adults in school years 10, 11 and 12 are invited to discern their readiness to be Confirmed by the Bishop. The parish runs a Pre-Marriage course for engaged couples, run by a married couple.
Sacraments and pastoral care
In this diocese, all those intending to marry, whether in the UK or abroad, are expected to give at least one year's notice to their Parish Priest so that necessary formalities and preparation may be arranged. Adults are directed to the Rite Of Christian Initiation Of Adults (RCIA) programme; those wishing to attend the course next year should speak to the priest after Mass or complete the application form and contact the Parish.
