About SS Peter and Paul, Crosby
SS Peter and Paul, Crosby is a Roman Catholic church in Crosby, Merseyside. It is part of the Archdiocese of Liverpool.
Introduction
Bishop Bernard O'Rielly blessed the foundation stone on 29 June 1892. The architects Sinnott and Sinnott designed the church.
History
The Nugent family donated £6000 towards the new church, commemorated on a plaque inside. The current church was completed in 1894, replacing an earlier building from 1826. Other benefactors are remembered in the stained glass and decorated stonework throughout the interior.
