About St. Joseph
St. Joseph is a Roman Catholic church in Burntwood, Staffordshire. It is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
Parish life
The parish runs a monthly men's breakfast since October 2010, open to all men of the parish. The CAFOD group meets once a month and organises various fundraising activities. The parish runs a Rosary Group, with details in the parish newsletter.
Sacraments and pastoral care
The parish offers RCIA for adults wishing to become Catholic or be baptised as Catholic, with a one-to-one chat with the parish priest. Couples intending to marry at Saint Joseph's are asked to see the Parish Priest at least 6 months before the planned wedding date. The parish has a team of Special Ministers who take Holy Communion to the sick and housebound.
Visiting
The parish runs a monthly draw with a first prize of £150, and entry costs £5 per month. The parish supports SPARKS, the local family centre, by collecting nappies sized 5 to 6 and family toiletries in a box in the hall. The parish holds a Rosary before Sunday Mass, 20 minutes before Mass begins.
