About St. Michael
St. Michael is a Roman Catholic church in Birmingham, West Midlands. It is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.
Introduction
Saint Michael's Church in Birmingham began as a dissenting chapel built circa 1800.
Architecture and furnishings
The church's classical gable end faces south-east, with stucco that has been roughcast. The church has three bays, the central one featuring coupled Ionic pilasters and a moulded pediment above the entablature. An entrance porch with two round-headed arches and round-headed windows to the sides marks the church. The north-east side and interior have been altered and modernised. The Church of St Michael is a Grade II listed building, first listed on 25-Apr-1952.
