About The Immaculate Conception

The Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic church in Edgbaston, West Midlands. It is part of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

The building

The Oratory church was designed by E Doran Webb and built in 1903-09, incorporating earlier work by John Hungerford Pollen and Henry Clutton. The foundation stone of Webb's new church was laid in 1903, and the building officially opened six years later.
