About The English Martyrs
The English Martyrs is a Roman Catholic church in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It is part of the Diocese of Leeds.
Introduction
The English Martyrs in Wakefield dates from a 1957 building meant to serve the western suburbs of the city. The Parish of Saint Austin’s and The English Martyrs in Wakefield came about when a diocesan reorganisation joined the two parishes.
Baptisms can be arranged after Mass. Overseas SVP conferences, including those in India and the Sudan, receive an annual financial contribution to help poorer areas of the world.
