Sacraments and pastoral care

Parents who wish to have their child baptised are invited to contact the parish to begin the preparation process. Young people and adults can prepare for Confirmation through parish formation. Couples wishing to marry at one of the churches should contact the parish office as early as possible to begin preparation. The Anointing of the Sick may be celebrated at church, at home, or in hospital; contact the parish if needed.

Becoming a Catholic usually involves a time of preparation, prayer and learning with others; the parish offers regular programmes. When ready, one can join one of the parish's formation programmes offering teaching, discussion and prayer.

The Journey in Faith course provides an opportunity to discover more about the Christian faith and what the Catholic Church believes and practices. Alpha is a short course that gives space to explore the Christian faith and ask questions in a relaxed setting.
