History
St John Fisher parish began as a foundation from St Joseph’s in Fishponds. In the early 1960s, land for the church, presbytery, hall, school, and playing fields was bought for £16,000. The church’s foundation stone was laid on 25 July 1964. The first parish priest served from 1967 until 1993.
