The Holy Family

Music and liturgy

The Flower Ministry creates floral arrangements for the altar every two weeks and for special liturgical seasons and feast days. Readers proclaim the First Reading, the Psalm when not sung, the Second Reading, and the Bidding Prayers during Mass. Confirmation candidates are asked to volunteer at Mass by reading, serving, singing, or helping take up the Collection.

Parish life

A rota of parishioners cuts the lawns approximately every six weeks. A team of volunteer cleaners cleans on a rota every five to six weeks.

All profit from the CAFOD coffee mornings is sent to CAFOD on a quarterly basis, usually around £500. A pastoral care team offers confidential support for loneliness, bereavement, and illness.

The parish supports parents in preparing their children for baptism and later for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. The parish is part of the newly formed parish of Weybridge in the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton.

Sacraments and pastoral care

The parish has 14 Eucharistic Ministers who take Communion to the sick and housebound in their homes and St Augustine's Nursing Home. The parish welcomes both children and adults to become Altar Servers, provided they have made their First Holy Communion. The parish is looking to build upon its team supporting children preparing for First Holy Communion and students preparing for Confirmation. The parish's Sacristans prepare for Sunday and weekday Masses at the altar and in the Sacristy and clear up after Mass.
